Lone Star Throwdown Was Full Of 1988-1998 OBS Chevy And GMC Pickups And We’ve Got All The Photos

Throwdown photos continue! We’ve got photos of all the hottest cars and trucks from the Lone Star Throwdown truck show in Conroe Texas, but none were hotter than OBS GM trucks. These trucks are the 1988-1998 CK series that have become so popular in the past couple of years. Their popularity now rivals their popularity when they were the new truck on the block! There were tons of them at Lone Star Throwdown, with 98% of them being lowered to some extent or another, and man do they look good.

We already ran one gallery of OBS trucks from the show, and if you missed them don’t worry there is a link below to check out all the photos we’ve posted so far. At the show were everything from the staple standard cab short bed, aka the short wide, to extended cab short beds, Tahoes/Blazers and even a few super cool Suburbans that we wished we owned. From mild to wild, they were all there, and what I like about the variety is that some of the trucks use only the wheel and tire combo and stance to do the talking. We’re talking extremely simple and stock looking trucks other than the fact that they are buried in the weeds on killer wheels. It’s a look I really like, and one I want to duplicate on a truck of my own.

Check them out  in the new gallery below.

We Hit The Starting Line At Bonneville Speed Week 2020! Action Starts Right Here!

It’s that time folks! Racing has finally started at Bonneville Speed Week and we are so excited about the racing action that we couldn’t help but snag some photos to share all the greatness. With cars making their first passes down the salt Saturday morning, it was time to see just what the salt could handle and how much power everyone had to throw at it. Remember, make one hit over a record speed and you are going to Impound for inspection and certifications so that you can back it up the next morning for an official record. The earlier to you qualify for the record, the earlier you can pack up the trailer and start the drinking and socializing. You also get to limit your exposure to the hot Utah sun if you so choose.

We’re excited to see everything from a Roadster to the Speed Demon Streamliner going after big numbers. We’ll see how conditions manifested today and how many guys and gals can back it up tomorrow to take the record. Once again we’re sad not to be there ourselves this year, but luckily our dude Wes Allison was able to make things happen and show us all the hot action and cool cars that showed up this year.
